my absolute favorite donut of all times is the apple fritter. i have not had one since i've become vegan. after dreaming about vegan apple fritters for some time, i finally attempted to make some last week. they turned out decent and i received head nods from the siedow-nice-han household. pretty good, but they will be better. apparently, fried bread is an art.
